Our Team
In order to have an inclusive, diverse, and safe community, we always aim to include members of the community, local agencies, and other stakeholders to be part of our vision.
Our small team is working hard to support the community through The Kiwi Kit Community Trust. Join us!

Kelsey Powell
Jane of All Trades
(Volunteer)
"Captain of Compassion"
Kelsey is a multi-passionate entrepreneur who started the vegan blog Craving a Peace and the New Zealand-based company The Kiwi Kit. Both are endeavours that aim to make people's lives better. Craving a Peace helps people through their journey into veganism and The Kiwi Kit helps people move to New Zealand when they're ready to redesign their lives more consciously in a beautiful country with remarkable people.
Kelsey helped to co-create The Kiwi Kit Community Trust to ensure she is always giving back to the local community as a migrant who feels welcomed and accepted by the New Zealand family.

Dani Mercado
Migrant Support Manager (Volunteer)
"Little Spark Activator"
Daniela, originally from Mexico, is passionate about the quest for human rights and human purpose.
She has a Bachelor of Laws with 5 years of experience working as a lawyer and 3 years in the community. During her legal social service, she realized the lack of information that people have and wanted to create something to help them.
Nowadays, she has been studying human rights and believes that we are way more powerful when we turn to each other and not on each other when we celebrate our diversity.
As our Migrant Support “Little Spark Activator,” Daniela is part of The Kiwi Kit Community Trust to help build connectedness and resilience as well as to help communities feel more connected in order to find the spark in their lives.
"Life Is Full Of Possibilities. You Just Need To Know Where To Look."
What We Do
We will achieve our mission by creating and leading event projects and ongoing programs, taking practical actions that make a difference to people's lives in our community.
As a grass-roots movement, The Kiwi Kit Community Trust, aims to grow organically step-by-step, by starting small and following the breadcrumbs of what is needed.
By listening to our community and collaborating with agencies and stakeholders, we can co-create the biggest positive impact the Queenstown Lakes District has ever seen.
