A Platform For Global Narratives

In today's interconnected world, understanding and appreciating diverse cultures and experiences is more important than ever.

The International Storytellers Film Series was born out of a desire to create a platform where the rich tapestry of human stories from around the globe can be shared and celebrated right here in Queenstown.

By aligning each film with a recent international recognition day, we hope to highlight the significance of these global observances and deepen our community’s engagement with them.

Why We Created This Series

Our mission is to foster a sense of global awareness and cultural appreciation within our local community.

By presenting films and documentaries that explore different facets of humanity, we aim to:

  • Educate and Inform: Provide insightful perspectives on various cultures, historical events, and social issues that shape our world, as well as Queenstown's multi-cultural community.

  • Inspire and Engage: Spark meaningful conversations and reflections on the human experience, encouraging viewers to consider new viewpoints and ideas.

  • Build Community: Bring people together through shared viewing experiences, fostering a sense of connection and solidarity within our community.

Our Partners

We are proud to partner with QLDC Libraries, who provide us with access to the Beamafilm app and occasionally support us with venue space in the QLDC Chambers. Their collaboration is invaluable in making this film series possible and ensuring we bring quality content to our audience.
